Your safety is our priority
If you are planning a trip to Tuscany and Cignella in particular then you may be wondering how things might be different during times like these. A trip to Tuscany will always be one of pleasure, relaxation, excellent food and wine, nature and beautiful villages.
To continue offering it, we have made some changes to how we operate. Following advice from the WHO (World Health Organization) and hotels in the region, we have adopted new practises and developed a protocol to guarantee a safe holiday. Our guidelines are constantly being informed by the WHO and local authorities and will undergo any necessary changes should new information arise.
We have relaxed our cancellation policies to give you extra peace of mind:
During these uncertain times, we remain committed to offering flexible booking options. Given these unique circumstances, we have adjusted our booking policies to give you extra peace of mind. Any pre-existing cancellation policies have been replaced with this new policy.
Any existing or new direct bookings scheduled for between now and the end of summer can be rescheduled for any future date. In keeping with advice from the Italian Government (link) we can offer a voucher to reschedule your stay to be redeemed within one year of the request to change. For those with a “non-refundable” policy or restriction to 60 days prior the arrival date, the prepayment or deposit will be converted in a voucher to be used within 1 year from the date of cancellation/change, as per above seasons rules. This is on a like-for-like basis and guided by our T&C’s. Bookings in August may be amended up to 7 days prior to arrival. Bookings outside of August may be amended up to 2 days prior to arrival.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to change or cancel your booking.
Any new bookings will be able to be rescheduled as above.
We recommend that future bookings take out our insurance policy. This can be done within 24 hours of your booking confirmation using BeSafe Rate. The insurance includes a 6% surcharge you can request to secure your booking, we will send you the link to the Besafe Rate policy after your Booking Confirmation.
Third Party bookings:
For guests who have booked through a third-party travel partner please contact your agent for more information on their individual booking policies.
We would like to reassure you that the wellbeing of all of our guests and staff remains of the utmost importance to us, at all times. Thereby Cignella is committed to sanitising all spaces, and in particular apartments, rooms and related facilities, to ensure maximum safety for its guests.
Space for all
Cignella has a lot of space available to guarantee maximum safety. All of our 13 spacious apartments have independent entrances to guarantee social distancing and total safety. If you are booking a room in an apartment we will arrange it so there is a safe distance between you and other guests so it will seem as if it is just you there.
We know our guests want to still have access to the swimming pool so to protect us all and especially our children we have made changes to the use of this communal space. We have set up disinfecting stations at the entrance to our large swimming pool area. We will be regularly sanitizing our sun loungers with certified medical disinfectant every morning and every time you leave it to return to your apartment. Our pergolas are 1.5m away from each other. No more than 6 people will be allowed into the pool at one time to maintain safe social distancing. We count on your common sense and spirit of sharing to help us achieve this.
We are still providing this service and have taken measures to ensure your children’s protection. We have a database of qualified baby sitters. We will measure the temperature of the babysitter on arrival and we will issue a copy of their self-certification. If you wish to use the babysitting service we will work with you to set up a calendar for your family in advance.
Outdoor excursions are the heart of summer. We know our guests are keen to experience clean air, sun on the skin, picnics, and lots of nature. On request, we can organize several nature tours and walks at different times of the day or week with qualified environmental guides. We will organize these in small groups so safe social distancing can be maintained and you can choose the times you prefer. In the absence of tourists from overseas, Tuscany will be an uncrowded place this year.
Our rooms have always been sanitized with CE certified ozonator before the arrival of our guests. We will continue to do this more carefully. Surfaces that are touched more often such as switches, handles, windows and tables are sanitized several times each day.
Our staff have undergone training to ensure each guest enjoys their holiday safely and knows how to take care of themselves, their spaces, and other guests.
Table Service: Together at a distance
Table service will be provided for every meal. This is to make life simpler for you and to minimise your contact with other guests. We will also be offering a take away service, prepared lunches and barbecues.
All you need do is choose!
We would ask our guests to please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Please do not come to Cignella if you are unwell – we are relaxing our cancellation policy during this time and will be more than happy to reschedule your stay for another time in the future (see above)
- Keep your hands clean, wash them regularly and thoroughly, for at least 40 seconds with soap and water
- Always carry single use tissues with you – we will be providing these in multiple places around resort – and use them to catch all coughs and sneezes, then bin the tissue immediately into the “unsorted waste”. Wash your hands with soap and water afterwards, or use a sanitiser if hand washing facilities are not immediately available
- We ask anyone who is concerned that they may have encountered the virus to follow the Government advice, and self-isolate in the first instance.
For the most part, you are unlikely to notice many changes when you visit us. We thank you for your cooperation in helping us to limit the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor guidance provided by the Government and provide updates as needed.
