“Everything was perfect!!! The room and property were in great condition, with a beautiful view. The 2 caretakers, Michela and Massimo, (I hope the names are correct, going from memory) were the best and added to the enjoyment of the stay. They took care of all my questions and requests. I will definitely stay there on my next trip to Tuscany.”
“Stayed here with three girlfriends at beginning of September. This estate is extremely well located for exploring the surrounding area. Arizzo, Sienna, Montepulciano. Grounds are well maintained and the views splendid. Villa was very clean, spacious and modern. Staff were all helpful and approachable. Would come back in a heartbeat for a quiet relaxing holiday. We loved that the estate is rural and restaurants and towns a drive away. Very much recommend.”
“Cignella is a beautifully presented small gated complex. The views are stunning, the grounds very well maintained and the villas spacious and well appointed. It is situated within an easy drive to the station for Florence and Rome, Italian trains are easy to navigate! It is also close to many vineyards and other tourist attractions. However a car is vital. If you need any help with anything the ever reliable Luka is always available with helpful advice and recommendations. Great place to stay for touring around.”
“Cignella is a beautifully fitted gated estate close to the village of Trequanda. The location is perfect for day trips to Siena, Florence or any of the surrounding villages (all worth a visit). These were all outlined and reviewed in a welcome pack in the villa, also including local restaurants with reviews and prices. The estate itself is beautiful maintain and the swimming pool is lovely. All the villas are very spacious and very well equipped with high quality utensils! The care taker, Mike, who greeted us when we arrived, was very helpful with all questions about the region and very friendly and lovely to chat to! An amazing family holiday in picturesque settings.”
“The hotel is amazing, incredible views of Toscana, large swimming pool, nice breakfast and very comfort and beautiful houses/rooms. Maximo and Michela are great hosters! We miss that peaceful place!!!”
“We stayed at Cignella for about six nights. Every morning, Luca – The Manager, made us breakfast and told us about Tuscany and the things he loved about Tuscany and gave us tips about what to do, or visit.
The apartment / hotel room was very nice, clean and spacious.
The Cignella park is perfect; well taken care of, clean, has a nice swimming pool and great views over the Tuscany landscape.
We would definitely recommend it to others.”
“We were a group of 5 and loved how clean(!) and spacious Cignella was. Each of the three rooms were huge and all had their own bathroom, which was a luxury. In addition, the living space and kitchen are both very large as was the back patio. The staff was super friendly and helpful and very communicative, which made the booking, check-in and check-out processes a breeze. Cignella is perfect for families or groups who are looking for anything ranging from a short 3-day stay (which was all we had time for this trip) to a longer-term stay. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend Cignella to friends and family. Tip – don’t forget to bring your own toiletries. Towels and linens included, but soap/shampoo and laundry detergent for your in-unit washing machine are not.”
“Absolutely perfect for me. my boyfriend and another couple! Close to loads of vineyards, great restaurants and it was so peaceful. The villas are really spacious as well. Think we’ll definitely go back.”
“The isolation of the location just outside of Trequanda makes for a quiet taste of where the locals thrive.
Vinyards within 15 minutes, restaurants 3-5klms away, if planned well you will never forget this place.
We drove to the town on Montepulciano to do a grocery at the local Conad, picked up some wine and a few necessities. Hint: Bring paper towels to wipe up in the kitchen, and extra toilet paper, washing soap and you should be fine. The kitchen is equipp[ed with the basics, and there is a washer dryer, microwave, and a very neat apartment. The beds are comfortable, we stayed in a two bedroom flat called “Rosemarino’ and the balcony view overlooking the valley was breathtaking. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool because of the weather, but the grounds are perfect to go for a short walk and stretch.. Take in the olive tasting at Renella, just a few hundred metres from the driveway.
The driveway is a half kilometre off the road to a gated residence.
This is worth the effort if you are looking fro a few quite days in the Tuscan country.”
“We have had two holiday here now – Summer 2015 and Summer 2016. All the villas we have stayed in have been excellent, the grounds and pool are immaculately kept and the location makes a fabulous base for exploring southern Tuscany (and the coast if you don’t mind a bit of a drive).
I hope to convince the family to have another trip soon!”
